What’s not to love about Chattanooga Brewing Co? They have a great selection of delicious beers, amazing staff, and such a comfortable atmosphere! Located in the newest, hippest area in town, the Southside Chattanooga has an ideal location for craft beer lovers. It’s a new building but has that old building feel- very minimalistic/industrial look with lots of wood too. You can either stay on the ground floor, or go to the area upstairs which is also cool with some couches and small high top tables made out of barrel lids.
Chattanooga uses only top grade ingredients for their beer, and have some of the most talented brewmasters in the house. So, you can always expect some unique high quality beers on the tap here. Some of their classic beers that you can try include-
- Chickbock- A German style dark lager, medium bodied, with caramel and chocolate malts, complemented by a small dose of traditional hops. The North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy and its Chickstock music festival are the inspiration for this brew.
- Hill City IPA- A classic American India Pale Ale. Its generous caramel malt and barley notes balance the mix of West Coast hops. Paying homage to our old location across the river, this brew will take you back to our roots.
- Imperial PIsner- This is a heartier version of the German Style Pilsner, and a flagship brew. The original owners were of German descent, so the name is a tribute to one of the original brews at the turn of 19th century Chattanooga.
There is nothing like a cold delicious beer on a comfortable and relaxing evening. However, you can still make it better- with some delicious food that you can pair it with! Chattanooga has a limited, but delicious food menu that can help you enjoy your beer even more. You can either try their Beer Cheese Nachos, which are house made chips topped with Chickbock beer cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, black olives, and jalapenos, or Chatt brew wings that are on entire pound of house wings, brined for 24 hours, fried to order. Or how about their house made hummus served with pita chips and pretzel bits, or the giant spent grain pretzel?
